I love these boots. I purchased them because I usually love any collaboration Rose Anvil does with PNW boots, and I was in the market for a new hiking/casual boot. With the honey Vibram soles and soft bison uppers, I decided to pull the trigger. When they arrived, the Bear Slayer tag got me so excited to wear them out and I couldn't stop telling people about how my boots were made of bison that looked like bear fur and that they were called "bear slayers." After wearing them for a few weeks, my appreciation has only increased, as they are lighter in comparison to my other PNW boots and much more flexible, which were the exact marketing points Weston from Rose Anvil mentioned in his promotional videos. Every aspect of this boot is different in a way that sets it apart from others, and specifically because of the unusually thick nap of the bison flesh out, they always get compliments. 10/10 would buy again.

Overall a great boot. Almost zero break in and was able to take it onto a 11 hour hike with only 3 days of wear! Everything ached after the hike except for my feet. Walked through streams, brush, climbed sharp rocks and more. The bear slayers really held up with no notes of wear. Will definitely be ordering from JK boots again in the future!

Been looking into getting a PNW style boot for over a year now. This design alone made me choose JK as the only place I'll get some boots for work or chore. Comfy right out of the box, no break in at all, took them out of the box and went on the my deer hunt with them. No issues at all. Being a collaboration boot I thought that it would be form over function and I was all wrong. This was the "Grizzly" bear slayer. Can't wait to see if/when the Brown bear slayers or the black bear slayers will look
